Four Years Ago « Thread Started on Aug 11, 2008, 2:19pm »
Until four years ago, the packs lived side by side. Although there were many fights over the land between the Midnight Shade Shadows Pack and the Fire Ashen Lands Pack. Many battles had been fought, but soon they ceased all together, until the fire. It was an unsually dry summer that year. The ponds had nearly dried up and the streams became mearly a trickle of water. Suddenly, a massive storm came up, lacking rain but full of lightning and thunder. A lightning bolt struck a dry tree within the Midnight Shade Shadows Pack, causing it to catch fire. The dry bushes, trees, and grass only helped the fire spread more quickly. Soon, half of the Midnight Shade Shadows Pack territory was engulfed in flame. From the Fire Ashen Lands Pack, you could see a blazing fire and a column of smoke, rising from the forest. Venisu, who had grown evil and twisted over the years, saw this as a perfect oppertunity to take over Harlorn's territory once the fire had ceased. Panic and chaos ruled Harlorn's pack as the fire raged though the dry trees. He commanded his pack to leave at once and leave the area forever. When Harlorn's command had been issued, Lysika had been outside the den, talking to her four pups, who that day, had turned one year of age. Thyisa was the second of the four. When they heard Harlorn's order, they started to run. A large crack sounded and a tree fell right infront of Thyisa. Her mother, sister, and two brothers hadn't noticed that she had been trapped by the blazing tree and kept running. Thyisa watched in horror as another tree loomed over her head, preparing to fall right on top of her. Just as the tree fell, she rolled out of the way. A burning branch grazed her paw, leaving a burn. Thyisa bolted though the burning forest, dodging falling trees and branches consumed in flame. The young black female soon reached the farthest end of the territory. Surpisingly, it was not consumed by flames. Here she make a den under a maple tree and fell asleep. Soon after falling asleep, clouds rolled in, heavy with rain. The rain fell and the fire was extinguished, leaving a charred, black forest. The next morning Thyisa returned to the main area of the territory and was shocked. All that was left of the proud forest was tall black trunks of trees. Here was where Thyisa waited for four years. Watching as the forest grew back and the prey returning. Despite the forest's recovery, her family did not return.
